Savier Footwear Signs Shaun White

Portland, OR — Shaun White, Dual X-Games Athlete and recent winner of the 2003 ESPN Espy award for Best Action Sports Athlete, recently signed a new sponsorship deal with Savier Skateboarding. Shaun will begin working with Savier immediately in upcoming events, promotions, and the development of a signature shoe.

In case you haven’t already heard the news, Shaun has just recently turned pro in skateboarding and he’s hitting the scene with force. At the recent Slam City Jam event in Vancouver, Canada, Shaun dropped into the contest and topped many of the long-standing powerhouse vert skaters — keeping them at bay with an assault of overhead airs and a variety of lip tricks. Shaun’s list of tricks continues to grow daily as he pushes to innovate his skating. This level of vert talent, combined with Savier’s continuing street dedication (currently led by John Rattray, Brian Anderson, Brad Staba, Tim O’Connor, and Stefan Janoski), will help the company represent on all levels.

Shaun’s passion for progressing his skating is a perfect match for the philosophies at play within Savier. New technologies and styles are in perpetual development, and now Savier will be able to add in this fresh talent and point of view to make an even stronger product line in the upcoming seasons. When asked what this new sponsorship means to him, Shaun said, “Sav-I-Er. Man, that sounds good to say. They have amazing technology, talented team, and kick ass crew. I am excited to be riding for them.

Look for Shaun in the upcoming X-Games and Gravity Games, as well as other skate competitions around the globe. Full schedule, coverage, and details will be available at
