Skate Chaos In Tejas

SKATE CHAOS IN TEJAS presented by Virgin Mobile:
Professional Skateboarders Exhibit Their Skills For The Benefit Of At-Risk Youth Charity While Amateurs Vow For Wildcard To The 2006 LG Action Sports World Championships

Changing the way that typical skate contests are done today, C&S Skate Shop and imA brings back the old skate-style look and feel with Skate Chaos in Tejas presented by Virgin Mobile, a community event that rallies youth to skate for a good cause. Pros engage audiences at The Edge, at the Allen Station Park on September 30, 2006 with an all-day demonstration of fresh skills and fun times at the first annual Skate Chaos in Tejas presented by Virgin Mobile. The purpose of this charity-skateboarding event is to raise awareness to at-risk youth and children’s homelessness and recruit volunteers to the new StandUp For Kids-Dallas branch that just moved to town.

One-hour of stylish exhibition featuring pro skaters Willy Santos, Pat Duffy, and Darren Navarette will surely fire up the Texan crowds and enliven local amateur skateboarders who will be throwing down their best tricks in efforts to secure a spot at the 2006 LG Action Sports World Championships.

Pro vert skater Mike Crum will host an all day party just next-door at the C&S skate shop. An autograph signing session, raffle, and silent auction will shower the scene starting at 11a.m., as community members celebrate the charitable efforts of StandUp For Kids. The contest will start at 2pm, followed by the pro-demo at 5pm.

For one week leading up to the event, two million people will view this Virgin Mobile sponsored event on a daily basis through’s event page.

Skate Chaos in Tejas is a coordinated effort between imA and C&S Skate Shop in order to influence strayed youth to channel their energy towards a more positive outlet, which they believe they can do through fun events involving skateboarding and other action sports.
