Stand Up for Skateparks

Tony Hawk and event co-chairs: Sean Penn, David Spade, Bobby Kotick (CEO, Activision), Bob McKnight (CEO, Quiksilver), Casey Wasserman (CEO, Wasserman Media Group) John Lewicki (Sports Marketing Director, McDonalds), and the William Morris Agency invite you to “Stand Up for Skateparks on Sunday, October 3rd at 3:00pm.  The benefit will be a unique fun-filled, family event at Pinz Bowling Alley in Studio City and will include skateboard demonstrations with Tony Hawk and top pros Bob Burnquist, Andy Macdonald; games; bowling; arts and crafts; a concert by Blink 182; and, a comedy performance by David Spade and friends.  Proceeds from the event will be awarded to the Tony Hawk Foundation.

“Stand Up for Skateparks is an opportunity not only to share a memorable day with family and friends, it is also an opportunity to help others across this country.  The Tony Hawk Foundation seeks to foster lasting improvements in society, with an emphasis on helping children.  Through grants and other charitable donations, the Foundation supports programs focusing on the creation of high-quality public skate parks across the country, giving kids a safe place to socialize and skate.  Since its inception in 2002, the Foundation has given away over $900,000 to more than 230 communities throughout the United States.
