Wicked Wahine receives support from Tylenol and Etnies

Wicked Wahine, the girls only skateboard contest series, is excited to announce the location of its next session at the Etnies Skatepark in Lake Forest, CA. Wicked Wahine and OP Girls Learn to Ride joined forces to create the “Wicked Ride Weekend, a weekend of skateboarding for girls and spectators alike. The “Wicked Ride Weekend is the Wicked Wahine main event. Scheduled for September 17th, 2005, the contest format will include street skating.

Past contests have drawn much deserved attention to the female bowl skating competitors. With sponsors and the media taking notice it seemed only proper to bring the street skaters into the furl. The Etnies skatepark has something to offer every skateboarder, so, it seemed only fitting to have the contest at their location. Both bowl and street skaters will have the opportunity to compete for cash, prizes and awards. Divisions have yet to be set, but all female skateboarders are encouraged to compete. Wicked Wahine is excited to offer prize purses that encourage women to participate in the event. Pre-registration is encouraged but not required.

Thanks to our Title sponsor Tylenol and co-sponsors Etnies girl, Element Skateboards, Verizon Wireless, Red Bull, Concrete Divas, Kronik Energy Drink and Black Label Skateboards. Other sponsors include Cherry Skateboards, Equillibrum Clothing, Destructo Trucks, Rebel Skates, Curly Grrlz, Cowboy Punk, SG Magazine, S-One, Sacrifice Skateboards, Madrid Skateboards, Gauge Clothing, Chorus, Rebel Skateboards, Volcom, Surfer’s Creed, Nikita, HB Wahine, Stifle Clothing and Cool Girls Skateboards.
