PITCREW Pictures, in association with Mark Nickels & Five Cent Films, would like to announce the premiere of Mark’s newest video, Where I’m From. The world premiere will be held in May 21st at the Weinberg Center for the Arts in Historic Downtown Frederick, Maryland.

Mark has spent the last year working along side some of the Washington D.C. area’s top names in skateboarding for his 2nd independent release. The video features the talents of Jake Rupp (Element Skateboards), Bobby Worrest (Krooked Skateboards), Sean Mullendore, Pat Smith (5 Boro Skateboards), Darren Harper (Aesthetics Skateboards), Matt Willigan, Mike Sullivan, Scott Lefever, Paul McElroy, and others; all hailing from the DC metro area. There are also special guest appearances from some of skateboarding top names too.

About Mark Nickels:Mark Nickels was born in Washington DC & has grown up in the DC metro area for most of his life. He has been skating for 15 years, & a skateboard videographer for 11 of those. Mark has worked along side PITCREW since its opening in 1994. His first independent release, 153, debuted in 1996. In 1999, he became the Director of Skateboarding @ Progression TV & Video Magazine. In 2001, Mark left Progression after the 3rd issue of the video magazine to become one of the two team videographers @ Osiris Shoes. Upon completing filming for Osiris? last project, Subject To Change in June 2003, he returned back to the DC area to start work on Where I’m From. He has been a contributing videographer to 411 Video Magazine since issue 11. Mark is currently in the works of developing a new TV show showcasing the lifestyle of the skateboard culture.
